Nisku, Alberta – June 21, 2019 – Cratex Industries Ltd., North America’s premier industrial packaging and crating company, today celebrated the official grand opening of its new location at 2308 – 4th Street Nisku, Alberta.  Local Cratex employees and customers, and senior executives from Cratex attended the event. Guests of honour included Tanni Doblanko, Mayor, Leduc County, Kelly Vandenberghe, Deputy Mayor, Leduc County, Brad Rutherford, MLA, Leduc-Beaumont, and Alex Lowe, Manager, Air Services Development, Edmonton Airport Authority.

“This new facility signals our belief in Nisku as a valuable and strategic location for Cratex in the long-term,” said Jeff Loesch, Vice-President, Cratex Industries Ltd.  “Nisku is ideally situated to enable Cratex to meet the needs of the local business community, including the demands of the oil, gas and petroleum industries. Also, Nisku is situated close to Edmonton’s international airport, which provides easy access to U.S. and global markets and keeps local transportation costs to a minimum. We are very excited about this new location and, given the strong business ties between Alberta and Texas, U.S., we look forward to opening a new Cratex facility in Houston, TX, later this year.”

“We are delighted that Cratex has invested in Nisku and value the company’s commitment to the region,” said Mayor Doblanko.  “Our businesses depend on the availability of reliable local service providers in order to grow and succeed. Cratex contributes to the local economy by helping businesses broaden their market reach in Canada and tap into global markets by transporting their shipments securely and quickly across North America or to any part of the world. We wish Cratex continued success in Leduc County and beyond.”

The new Cratex location provides the full suite of packaging and crating capabilities, which enables Cratex to fulfill the most demanding and complex projects.  Its packaging practices have achieved global acceptance, and over the years Cratex has been sought out to package and transport everything from a highly delicate dinosaur fossil to an immense and bulky C-130 cargo plane.

“It’s very gratifying to see so many customers here today celebrating with us, and we thank all our customers for their continued loyalty and trust in us to protect their shipments, across the country or around the world,” said Dwayne Hihn, President, Cratex Industries Ltd.  “We hope our investment in this new location demonstrates our commitment to our customers, and Nisku and Leduc County in general.”
